And for young history buffs, remember that this was the site of many executions, and it is here that Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette were guillotined.
On the other side of the avenue des Champs-Élysées, we also find the Triumphal arch, the famous monument dedicated to the unknown soldier.
The Louvre: visit the most famous museum in the world
A stone’s throw from Concorde, the Louvre Museum and its famous glass pyramid opens the doors to art, with a collection of more than 33,000 works. Painting, sculpture and graphic art are represented there over the centuries, cultures and eras.
